Avon
Combined events (sometimes called multi events) competitions run through the summer in Avon. They follow on from the primary multi-events competitions Quadkids, Super 8 and Sportshall events.
Whilst Avon Schools does not run a county competition, interested athletes are encouraged to contact the team managers to register their interest.
Avon Schools’ athletes are also encouraged to compete in an open combined events competition run by Somerset Schools AA during the last weekend in April.
Regional and National
Avon Schools select a team of 4 athletes in each age group (not including the minor age groups) to compete in the South West Combined events championships held in June.
The winning team and the best 2 individuals not in the winning team qualify for the English Schools Championships. In addition from the six regional competitions English Schools will extend invitations to athletes in each group who have not already qualified by right.
The English Schools Championships are held on the 3rd weekend in September.
The South West and English Schools Championships also include race walking championship events.
